Surf Canada’s Mathea Olin, coach Christian Moutinho selected to PetroCanada’s FACE program
VICTORIA, BC – Congratulations to 14-year-old Canadian national champion Mathea Olin and her personal coach Christian Moutinho for being the first ever Surfers to be selected to the prestigious PetroCanada F.A.C.E. program (Fueling Athletes and Coaching Excellence)!
This program is designed for non-carded, developing Canadian athletes to provide additional support to help them meet Sport Canada’s carding criteria. A total of 55 Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls are chosen, and receive $10,000 per-athlete/coach combination to support their training and competition expenses. That’s the face of women’s Olympic surfing!
