2025 ISA World Para Surfing Championship – Team Canada Official Event Recap
Team Canada has officially concluded competition at the 2025 ISA World Para Surfing Championship in Oceanside, California, placing 13th overall among a highly competitive field of national teams. This year’s championship brought together the world’s leading adaptive surfers across a comprehensive range of classification divisions, reaffirming its status as the premier global event for para surfing.
Canada fielded a three-athlete delegation whose performances exemplified excellence, determination, and the continued advancement of para surfing in this country.
Victoria Feige secured first place in the Women’s Kneel Division, earning another world title and further establishing herself as one of the most accomplished para surfers in international competition.
Ling Pai achieved third place in the Women’s VI2 Division, demonstrating consistency, technical skill, and competitive resilience throughout the event.
Jonathon Marinovich placed tenth in the Men’s Stand 2 Division, delivering a strong performance against a deep and internationally experienced field.
Surf Canada acknowledges the expertise and contribution of the integrated support staff accompanying the athletes. The delegation included Head Coach Shannon Brown, Strength and Conditioning Coach Albie Sears, Mental Performance Coach Sean Stechenfinger, and Media Lead Ella Ostrikoff. Their collective efforts played a critical role in athlete preparation, on-site performance support, and overall team operations.
