CSA SURF CANADA
Formerly the Canadian Surfing Association

CSA Surf Canada (SURF CANADA) is the official recognized National Sport Federation for Surfing, Stand Up and Prone Paddleboard (SUP) in Canada, by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). SURF CANADA is responsible for holding the Nationals Championships for Surf and SUP each year and for selecting the official Canadian Surf and SUP Team to compete internationally. The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the International Federation (IF) and World Governing Authority for Surfing, SUP and Paddleboard.

The Mission of SURF CANADA is to provide a Surfer and SUP run competitive platform for Canadian athletes competitive success, foster a positive image of competitive Surfing and SUP in Canada, and to provide the best possible experience for all participants by encouraging, developing, advancing, and administrating the sport, while producing champions. Top athletes feed into the National Championships from the 3 SURF CANADA Conferences: Western, Great Lakes, and Eastern.

The Surf Canada Board of Directors manages the affairs of Surf Canada. The Board is responsible for a number of activities including approving the appointment of the Executive Director, providing direction to the Executive Director, adoption of policies and programs that implement Surf Canada’s strategic plan, adoption of the Surf Canada’s annual budget, monitoring the implementation of the policies, programs, and budgets that it adopts, determining the size and composition of each Canadian ISA World, Pan American and Olympic Team, and approving all award recipients.

  • This Distinctive emblem is Surf Canada’s Official Mark* and is proudly worn by our National Team as our exclusive symbol for the World to associate with our sport
  • Captures the elemental essence of Surfing (waves) and has the Maple Leaf (symbol of National pride) at its very core
  • Colours are authentically Canadian
  • Radiating with energy, with each of the 3 waves representing Canada’s 3 surf regions, Pacific, Atlantic and Great Lakes
  • Stylized Waves are purposefully outside the graphic field which represents surfing’s uniqueness by breaking free of the boxed in boundaries of traditional sports
  • Designed in collaboration with Tyler Quarles, and officially adopted in March 2013
