CSA SURF CANADA NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS OF SURF CANADA
The Board of Directors of CSA Surf Canada (currently doing business as Surf Canada) hereby gives notice to all members that a special meeting of the members will be held at the date and time set out below to consider the specific matters described in this notice.
Date: Thursday, January 29, 2026
Time: 4pm PST
Format: Virtual – Pre-Registration Required
Members wishing to attend must pre-register not less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting.
Purpose: Surf Canada’s members are being asked to consider two (2) resolutions:
1. RESOLVED that the organization formally change its name to “Surf Canada”.
2. RESOLVED that the organization adopt new bylaws in the form attached to this notice and as posted on the organization’s website.
Reasons for These Resolutions: The formal name change is required to protect the organization’s use of the “Surf Canada” brand and better identify the organization and its role within the Canadian sports community. The new bylaws are required to bring the organization’s corporate governance up to the standards required by Sport Canada and the requirements of the Canadian Sport Governance Code.
Information Session: Surf Canada will hold an online virtual information session in advance of this meeting for anyone desiring more information. Members will be provided with more information once the date and time of this session have been set.
