The organizers of the upcoming Olympic Games have just announced that surfing will take place between July 15 and 18, with July 19 and 23 as contingency dates.
The Instagram post announcing this states: “Keep your eyes on the waves. From the 1st to the 9th, as conditions will determine which days the competitions will be held. All sessions will include both men and women, so you’ll be able to see your favourite surfers from both tournaments.”
Then, in the details published on the LA 2028 website, they indicate that the 15th, 16th and 17th will be event days and the 18th will be medal day.
Of course, everything will change if Pacific has other plans for Lowers.
Furthermore, the social media post clarifies: “It’s time to surf, and so is the LA28 competition schedule! The LA28 Olympic competition schedule by event is now available, offering the most comprehensive information to date on when, where, and how surfing will take place at the 2028 Olympic Games.
