ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019
Mission Beach

The ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019 will take place at Mission Beach from Oct. 10-14, 2019. Approximately 1,360 athletes representing the five Olympic continents are expected compete. In order to guarantee the very highest quality competitions in San Diego, qualification for the majority of disciplines will be determined based on world ranking points or the highest finishing places at world championships or continental championships.

The Olympic-style event will feature competition in the following 17 sport disciplines – including modified versions of several Olympic sports – on the sands and surf of Mission Beach.

  • Beach Volleyball – 4×4
  • Cycling – BMX
  • Handball – beach
  • Karate – individual kata
  • Sailing – kitefoil
  • Skateboarding – park
  • Soccer – beach
  • Sport climbing – bouldering
  • Surfing – shortboard and longboard
  • Swimming – open water
  • Tennis – beach
  • Triathlon – aquathlon
  • Waterskiing – jump and wakeboard
  • Wrestling – beach

THE ANOC WORLD BEACH GAMES
San Diego 2019

Will take place in temporary venues at a single consolidated site at Mission Beach, San Diego. It is anticipated that approximately 1,300 athletes will compete across six days of competition

A total of 40,000 spectators are expected each day of the competition with large screens and cutting edge technology integrated into the event to ensure the ultimate fan engagement.
