Surf Canada is very pleased to announce that both the @g20_paddlefestival (Southern Alberta July 5-6) and @ontariosupseries (Collingwood, Ontario, Aug 8-10) will be sharing ISA World SUP and Paddleboard race Team selections.
‘25 Surf Canada SUP race & Paddleboard ISA World Team is determined by final results from the 2 events delivered by @g20_paddlefestival and @ontariosupseries for the athletes that have Met the Method A criteria as detailed in the INP for nomination to the National Team.
Agreed ISA World Team quota allocation:
G20: Top male and female distance
G20: Top male and female Tech
G20: Top male and female junior tech
G20: Top male and female prone tech and distance
Collingwood: Top male and female distance
Collingwood: Top male and female Tech
Collingwood: Top male and female sprint
* Podium positions have priority for each allocated spot at each event.
* Any junior or prone positions not filled at G20 Paddle festival will be reallocated to the Collingwood race.
* If the quota spots are unfilled by August 31, 2025 by qualifying athletes, Method B selections from the published 2025 INP will be utilized. Surf Canada’s decision on the 2025 ISA team would be final.
