The 2018 Stance ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship will take place from December 12-16 in La Jolla, California, USA. The Stance ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship was created to give surfers with physical challenges an opportunity to compete and display their talents in a Paralympic-style, world-class competition.

View the 2018 ISA Para Surfing Classifications
The ISA has been working with our Para Surfing Classification Committee to align the Para Surfing Classification with the IPC Classification Code. Last year we conducted a classification research study during the 2017 Stance ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship which provided us with some valuable information. In 2018, we’ve sent our Para Surfing Head of Classification to a classification meeting with the IPC Classification Committee in an effort to further learn and improve our classification system. Based upon this study and some key observations we have made some minor adjustments to the Para Surfing Classification system; however, it has remained very similar to the 2017 classification system.
