Mill Bay Marine Group, Scotty Products and Admiral Sports announced as sponsors for Surf Canada’s Pan Am and Adaptive teams

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Surf Canada is excited to announce Mill Bay Marine Group, Scotty Products and Admiral Sports as returning sponsors of Surf Canada’s Adaptive and Pan Am teams.


Mill Bay Marine Group, Scotty Products, Admiral Sports have played key roles in the support of Surf Canada over 2 years and will continue to do so as both the Adaptive and Pan Am teams head into competition later this month.

“We want our athletes to know that we support them and will be cheering them on as they prepare themselves for the upcoming Pan American Surf Games,” said Duane Shaw, president of Mill Bay Marine Group. “We are so happy to support Surf Canada and are looking forward to an even more exciting and successful 2018.”

The 2017 Stance ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship takes place November 29 -December in La Jolla, California. The inaugural ISA Adaptive Championship took place with 2015. In 2016, a record-breaking 77 athletes from 22 nations took to the water to represent their nations and compete for Gold.

“Scotty Outdoor Products is stoked to support Surf Canada and our athletes in the pursuit of their Pan Am and Olympic dreams,” said general manager Eric Scott.

December 5 – 9 will see Surf Canada’s Pan American team hitting the waters off Lima, Peru at Punta Rocas to compete in the preliminaries for next year’s 2018 Pan American Games qualifier.

“Admiral Sports are pleased to support Surf Canada’s bid for the Pan Am games,” said Dale Self, owner of Admiral Sports. “The Admiral brand is the second oldest sporting trademark in the world and so therefore we recognize that up and coming sports require support from time to time. We are grateful to Surf Canada for giving us that opportunity.”

Canada will feature its largest team ever assembled at the upcoming qualifier, with 20 women and mens athletes in Shortboard, Longboard, Surf SUP and SUP Race divisions.

“Surf Canada is proud to continue growing our relationships with our National Sponsors that share our same vision and commitment in the responsible use and stewardship of our Oceans,” added Surf Canada president Dom Domic. “By investing in Canadian surfing athletes, they will be able to share that message with the global community.”

Surf Canada is the official National Sporting Federation (NGF) and sport partner of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and the International Surfing Association (ISA) who in turn is the International Olympic Committee (IOC) governing federation. As such, Surf Canada is solely responsible for selecting Surf, Stand-Up Paddle, and Prone Paddle athletes to compete at international events including the yearly ISA World Championships, PASA PanAm Surf Championships and every four years the PanAmerican Games and the Summer Olympics Games.
