Pacific Sands Resort extends support for Canadian National Junior Team

VICTORIA, BC – Surf Canada is very happy to announce that Pacific Sands Resort will extend their support and as the 2017 Surf Canada National Junior Team official accommodations provider as they set their sights on the ISA World Junior Championships in Japan.

Pacific Sands Resort has already generously supported Surf Canada by housing team members and volunteers while they participate in training camps and other events in Tofino.

Pacific Sands’ Resort Director Shane Richards is thrilled to extend this accommodation sponsorship further through funding to pay for the team’s accommodation while they compete in Japan.

“These kids are Canada’s next generation of surf athletes,” Richards stated. “Some of these young surfers may be competing for Canada at the Olympics in 2020 or 2024 and we hope our support will help alleviate the financial burden they may face as they work to attain their goals in the highly competitive sport of surfing.”

Pacific Sands Beach Resort is located right on the beach at spectacular Cox Bay in Tofino on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The resort is ideally situated for year-round surfing vacations and has been hosting families, couples, surfers and outdoor enthusiasts for decades.

The World Juniors take place September 21- October 1, 2017.
