Surf Canada Membership Program Announcement
Surf Canada is pleased to announce the launch of its national membership program for the upcoming fiscal year.
The Surf Canada membership program supports the continued development of surfing and SUP across the country, including national competitions, athlete development initiatives, and the participation of Canadian surfing and SUP on the international stage. Membership also helps strengthen the national surfing and SUP communites by connecting athletes, organizers, and supporters working together to grow the sport in Canada.
Beginning this season, a valid Surf Canada membership will be required for athletes wishing to compete in any Surf Canada sanctioned competition, including national and international championship events and other official competitions held throughout the year.
This membership structure ensures that athletes participating in Surf Canada events are formally recognized within the national system and helps support the ongoing administration and development of competitive surfing programs.
Membership Categories
Adult Membership (18+) – $50 per year: For athletes aged 18 and over who wish to participate in Surf Canada sanctioned competitions.
Junior Membership (Under 18) – $30 per year: For junior athletes competing in Surf Canada sanctioned events.
All athletes must hold an active Surf Canada membership before registering for official competitions. Members may also be issued a Surf Canada member number which can be used to verify eligibility when registering for events such as the Rip Curl Nationals and other sanctioned competitions. Surf Canada encourages athletes, clubs, and supporters across the country to become members and take part in building the future of Canadian surfing and SUP.
