
Surf Canada’s National Team Announced for 2025 ISA World Surfing Games
Victoria, BC. (Aug 28, 2025): Surf Canada announced today the six athletes selected to represent Canada at the ISA World Surfing Games taking place Sept 5-14, at Surf City, El Salvador.
Returning Team Captain, Cody Young, will be leading Canada’s 2025 Team on their ISA World Surfing Games debut: Ocea Green, Aqua Bruhwiler, Reed Platenius, Tristan Day and rounding out the rookies with the perennial Cath Bruhwiler (WSG ’94, ’96, ’98).
“We have a great group of athletes, and we are all very excited to get to work and show that Canadian surfing is world class and ready to push for medals” said Coach Shannon Brown.
The 2025 ISA World team qualified through Method A selection criteria that considers WSL CT/CS rankings and Rip Curl Nationals results.
